About me:
I'm located near Milwaukee, WI where I have lived for the past 30 years. I've joined the forum twice, the first time when I purchased my first ACE
Tourer. After only owning the bike the for 2 years we had another addition to the family a beautiful young daughter. At that time I felt it wouldn't be
possible to spend much time riding and it seemed a shame to have such a wonderful machine sitting idle in the driveway. I sold the motorcycle, as the bike
pulled out of the driveway with the new owner I know I would miss it and tried to put it out of my mind.
However for months I regretted my decision until the point I knew I missed riding too much. I 've been searching for several years to find a replacement
and about a month ago the right bike appeared. Unfortunately or fortunately it appeared in Denver CO. Within minutes of finding the bike on craigslist I had
spoken to the previous owner, had a check in the mail and had arranged to bring the bike home. I subsequently flew to Denver and after a 2 year absence road
the bike home 1100 mile is 2 days, approximately 300 mile s the first and nearly 800 miles the 2nd day.
I am very glad to be back on the forum, I haven't been very active however I hope to change that. In reviewing my history on the forum, I found a note from
Homebldr, as I went back through his topic riders and flyers, I am saddened that I never made his acquaintance. I have made a pledge to myself not to let that
happen again, I hope to meet other members of the forum soon.
As a father of 3 relatively young children this will be easier said than done however I hope that at a minimum I will be able to get to do at least 1 get
together this riding season.
Past loving the tourer and family not necessarily in that order. I also love the outdoors hiking, canoeing and photography. While I'm not flying now, I
still get together with friends who are still flying for an occasional breakfast fly-in and do an annual visit to the EAA fly-in in Oshkosh, WI.
